Someone said a call centre in Illinois, however, when I received the call, I was presented with someone speaking with a thick West African French accent. First of all, they use a much more formal French than do Québécois and even the French. I got a call from a man that had a heavy Indian accent. He claimed I owed a bill from "Energy Star Electric Company." I never heard of it. When I asked him when was it, he told me the call was being recorded and that I owed this bill from 2003 and the amount was $474.00. I said I didn't owe that.
