Be careful who you talk to about this. I received a letter along with an attached W-9. I shredded both of them the 'first' time I received it. Just the other day I received a follow-up suggesting that my account may be canceled if I did not provide this information. Like others, I called the phone number on the back of my card. I originally spoke with someone with an Indian accent who told me that the letter WAS legitimate. When I questioned why they needed a W-9 he was confused and transferred me to a service rep in my own state who was concerned and did quite a bit of checking. She informed me that THIS LETTER IS FRAUDULENT. So again, be careful if someone tells you it's legit. I believe the offshore person was just appeasing me and didn't really know what he was talking about. Thank God he transferred me otherwise I might have provided personal information based on his recommendation.

It asks for my divorced name which I have not used in years, somehow calling the current number that I'm using. The voice is not clear, it is only automated leaving no clear number to track or call. If I call the number that it is coming from I either get that it's out of service or a click which just hangs up. Sounds more like a scam.
